East Africa’s LPG offtake could set up for a strong demand period in coming months. LPG offtake in the region soared to 48,000 bpd in July and has averaged 14,000 in the five months since. However, the beginning of the cyclone season and its highly active period in March could create a stronger need for LPG, and bump up against stockpiling in anticipation of the Ramadan holiday, which begins on April 23.
